Salt Creek Ranch: Naturally Raised Beef
So much of the deterioration of consumer trust in our modern food supply stems from the lack of knowing simply where the food is coming from and how it was raised. That is why I am so excited to be offering this wonderful, natural beef to you and your family.
All of our cows are born and raised on the Salt Creek Ranch, just a few hours south of Kansas City. They feed on abundant grasslands and drink from fresh spring creeks. Our cows are a register breeding heard that mainly are used to up grade other commercial herds. We do not use steroids or antibiotics. This makes us feel glad knowing our herd does not live in the vile conditions of standard feed lots where the use of antibiotics and worming has to happen often due to conditions. Our cattle live very pampered, low stress lives. The first six months they live on grass, hay, minerals and their mother’s milk. Post weaning they are transferred to the "lane" which is a five acre portion of grassland split by a running creek and several huge shade trees. They feed on cracked corn, rolled oats and a touch of malaises.
